The shop also serves items such as yakisoba noodles, oshiruko sweet red bean soup, kakigori shaved ice, and anmitsu syrup-covered anko and fruit.
This is an izakaya restaurant where you can enjoy the Azabu-Juban specialty, yakiton. Yakiton is the pork version of yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). As soon as it opens, the restaurant is full of customers buying yakiton to take away and staying to enjoy a meal. 4. Udon Kurosawa
This shop is famous for its curry udon noodles with Japanese-style soup stock. Its most popular menu item is the Kurobuta Curry Nanban (1,200 JPY (excl. tax)). The Kurobuta pork from Kagoshima that has been cooked soft is outstanding in the curry soup with its deep flavors derived by using three different types of katsuobushi bonito flakes. The soup is so good you'll want to drink it up after eating the udon noodles and toppings. You may be concerned about the soup splashing and staining your clothes, so if you are, ask for a paper apron.
5. Tohryu Azabu Branch
This is an upscale Chinese restaurant that serves authentic Szechuan cuisine. Its signature menu item, the Special Homemade Fried Gyoza Dumplings (2,100 JPY for five (incl. tax)), has just the right balance of meat and vegetables and is cooked to perfection. One bite and the meat juices and umami flavors fills the mouth. The Szechuan Dandan Noodles (1,900 JPY (incl. tax)), with spicy sesame flavors that will get you hooked, are also popular. Courses are available from 12,000 JPY. If you want to eat at more reasonable prices, the lunch (2,800 JPY and up (incl. tax)) that is available on weekdays and Saturdays is recommended. At this restaurant, you can enjoy a luxurious meal of dishes made with carefully selected ingredients.
