Showa Kinen Park (Tachikawa, Tokyo)Showa Kinen Park is an oasis in Tokyo with an area about 40 times the size of Tokyo Dome with a variety of flowers blooming in each seasons. Aside from mustard fields and tulips, the sunflower field in summer is one of the most beautiful sights not to be missed here. Over a vast site of more than 4,000 square meters, two types of sunflowers, Hybrid Sunflowers and Sunfinity Sunflowers can be seen. While the Hybrid Sunflowers have large heads , the Sunfinity Sunflowers over by the hill are shorter and smaller than those of ordinary sunflowers. Zama Sunflower Field (Zama, Kanagawa)The Zama Sunflower Field in Kanagawa Prefecture is the largest of its kind in the Tokyo metropolitan area. There are about 550,000 sunflowers in total at two locations. 100,000 sunflowers at the Kurihara site and about 450,000 at the Zama site, and the golden sunflowers bloom in two separate locations. Hasuda Himawari (Sunflower) FieldAt the Hasuda Sunflower Field, you can enjoy four types of sunflowers: Kids Smile, Hybrid Sunflower, San Marino, and Tohoku Yae Sunflower. This sunflower field is a summer attraction in Hasuda, which was originally idle farmland that was used to promote the local community. The 200,000 sunflowers that bloom in the 15,000 square meter field were grown entirely by the citizens. Volunteers help to clear the parking space and provide mowers. Naka Himawari (Sunflower) Festival (Naka, Ibaraki)Naka Sogo Koen is located in Naka City, next to Hitachinaka City, where the National Hitachinan Seaside Park, famous for its nemophila and kochia, is located. Hokuto City Sunflower Festival (Hokuto City, Yamanashi)Hokuto City in Yamanashi Prefecture is proud to present its 600,000 sunflowers, and the 360-degree panoramic view. At the Akeno Sunflower Field, one of the best sunflower fields in Japan, visitors can enjoy panoramic view of Japan's most famous peaks, Kaikomagatake, Kayagatake and Mt. Fuji in the distance with the sunflowers. At the Hokuto City Akeno Sunflower Festival, you can see sunflowers at three different venues at different times of the year.
