When the Osaka Station (Umeda) Area is the Center of the Sightseeing Trip


UMEGLE-BUS goes around the streets of Umeda. With fare of 100 JPY (50 JPY for children) per ride, it’s such a convenient bus that can take you to major shopping malls in the city such as Grand Front Osaka and Herbis!
It is also easily accessible from JR Osaka Station, Umeda Station on the subway, and other train stations, as well as sightseeing bases like The Ritz-Carlton Osaka, Granvia Osaka, and other hotels. You should definitely get on this bus if you plan to go sightseeing in Umeda. Coming in a set of one Osaka Metro-Osaka City Bus 1-Day Pass, three Bar Tickets that you can use in 35 sightseeing spots and dining/drinking establishments in Osaka, and one 1-Day Cruise Ticket that will give you unlimited rides on three cruises operated by Osaka Suijyo Bus, this ticket is truly loaded! It will be very useful if you want to cruising on a boat as your mode of transportation to your target destinations, since there are four loading ports for the cruise. It will be sold until March 21, 2019 (Thursday/national holiday), so if you plan to go sightseeing during that time, then make sure to buy and use this ticket!

Osaka Aquarium KAIYUKAN is famous for its whale sharks. It is also popular for being designed in such a way that visitors get to observe the creatures from different angles in an environment that is close to their natural habitat.
If you have KAIYUKAN in your itinerary, then you have every reason to use the Osaka Kaiyu Ticket! It will let you enter KAIYUKAN however many times you want on the day the ticket is valid, as well as give you unlimited rides on most lines operated by Osaka Metro/Osaka City Bus and private railways, depending on the ticket type. You will also enjoy discounts in famous sightseeing spots in Osaka, especially those in the Osaka Bay area. It will be sold until March 31, 2019 (Sun.), so try using it if your trip is within that period.

Osaka Amazing Pass (Osaka Area Version)

The Osaka Amazing Pass for Osaka area is a ticket that will let you ride on all lines of the Osaka subway and Osaka City Bus (with some exceptions), as well as on the Hankyu, Hanshin, Keihan, Kintetsu and Nankai trains that run in the city. You will also get TOKUx2 Coupons and a guidebook that will be very useful during your trip.
The best thing about this pass is that you will be able to enter more than 35 spots for free by simply presenting this pass! For instance, you can get inside famous spots like Osaka Suijyo Bus Aqua-Liner (regular rate: 1,700 JPY), Umeda Sky Building Kuchu-Teien Observatory (regular rate: 1,500 JPY) and the Main Tower of Osaka Castle (regular rate: 600 JPY) for free, so the ticket will pay for itself.
There are several other types of Osaka Amazing Passes such as the pass that you can use for two consecutive days and the ticket that you can use from Kobe, Kansai Airport and other areas around Osaka City, so check them out and choose according to your itinerary. The Osaka Amazing Pass can be used until April 30, 2019 (Tues.).

Enjoy Eco Card

Enjoy Eco Card is a 1-day pass that will give you unlimited rides on all Osaka Metro and Osaka City Bus lines (except the Osaka City Buses going to Universal Studios Japan and IKEA). It also comes with discounts in about 30 tourist spots in Osaka, and all you have to do is present your ticket on the day that it is valid. This card is very affordable, so it will definitely be a great deal if you buy it when your hotel is located along the Osaka Metro and Osaka City bus routes.

Price: Adult: 800 JPY (600 JPY on Saturday, Sunday and national holidays), Child: 300 JPY

When Planning to Visit Osaka and Kyoto


Offered by Keihan Railway, the KYOTO-OSAKA SIGHTSEEING PASS that links Kyoto and Osaka is only available to tourists from overseas who can present their passports. That’s actually the reason why this ticket is cheaper than regular transport passes that are being sold, and why it also comes with discounts in some of the famous sightseeing spots in both areas.
In Kyoto, this pass will make it easy for you to visit Uji, where the World Heritage Site Byodoin Temple is located, and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, and then go to Fushimi where you can enjoy Japanese sake. So, if you are planning to check out those spots, this ticket is especially recommended for you! The passes being sold right now can be used until March 31, 2019.

When Going Outside of Osaka to Tour Kansai Region


The KANSAI THRU PASS will let you ride all private railway lines in Kansai as much as you want for two or three days straight, so you can enjoy a fun-filled excursion outside of Osaka. You can go to Kyoto that is home to many temples and shrines, Hyogo where the port city of Kobe and Himeji Castle are located, and Wakayama where you can marvel at Mt. Hiei.
You can use this ticket from Kansai Airport Station at Kansai International Airport, so if you build an itinerary that covers the areas where this pass can be used, then you will be able to considerably cut down your transportation expenses!

Priced at 2,300 JPY for the 1DAY pass even when you purchase it when you arrive in Japan, this pass will let you explore Osaka, Kyoto and Hyogo, as well as take you to Shiga, Fukui, Nara and Wakayama. It covers a wide area, so if you have plenty of time to spare in your trip, then you can go on a full-on tour of any number of tourist spots by simply buying the 3DAY or 4DAY ticket!
