1. necomame CAFÉ
This is a café where the concept is tasty and cute! The menu includes a variety of sweets with cat motifs. Each one is carefully made by hand on site and has a soft, comforting sweetness. They can be eaten in or taken out. Needless to say, the Christmas cake (starting at 3,800 JPY (incl. tax)) has a cat motif as well. A Christmas-only version of their special gateau chocolat and a cheesecake made with a rich cream cheese are introduced during the holiday season.
2. FORTISSIMO H
This is a shop where you can taste the magnificent sweets by Hironobu Tsujiguchi, a pastry chef who is said to have brought about a sweets revolution. They offer a wide selection from purin and cake rolls that can be eaten casually to cakes for special occasions. In the spacious café on the premises, more than 30 types of petit gateaux (250 JPY and up) made with the utmost care are available at any given time! During the holiday season, a variety of whole cakes (2,500 JPY and up) made using an abundance of whipped cream and chocolate are sold. In addition, there are more than ten types of assortments of cakes and baked goods.
3. Café Gentiane JR Nagoya Station Branch
This is a café in the central concourse of JR Nagoya Station that's convenient to drop in before or after seeing the sights of Nagoya. The signature item is the chick-shaped purin called Piyorin (320 JPY (incl. tax)). Purin made using eggs from Nagoya Cochin chicken is wrapped in vanilla mousse and a soft sponge cake, and decorated with chocolate eyes, beak, cockscomb, and feathers, making it as cute as it is tasty. During the holiday season, Piyorin transforms into Santa Claus! In past years, 100 Piyorin Santa Clauses were available each day.
4. Pâtisserie PIERRE PRÉCIEUSE Kakuozan Branch
This is a pastry shop with a wide selection of sweets made with the finest ingredients and French pastry-making techniques. The café offers a variety of items only available there such as the Surprise Caramel Chocolat (756 JPY (incl. tax)), with steaming hot chocolate sauce and fragrant caramel sauce, and the Vacherin (756 JPY ( incl. tax)), meringue sandwiches with framboise sorbet and ice cream. During the holiday season, they offer their standard cakes, as well as the limited-time Paquet Cadeux (includes four for 2,808 JPY (incl. tax)), a package of petit gateaux decorated with various Christmas ornaments.
