Kyoto Century Hotel, which is at a convenient location just two minutes on foot from JR Kyoto Station, is a historic hotel that opened in 1928. At Rantei on the second floor, guests can enjoy delicate Kyo-ryori made using a variety of ingredients that change with the seasons. The restaurant has a peaceful atmosphere, and offers a variety of foods such as bento box lunches, kaiseki, kappo, and sushi. There are also special menus for private rooms and for dining at the counter. It also offers a Muslim-friendly menu using halal-certified ingredients with no pork or alcohol.

2. Kyoto Brighton Hotel
Kyoto Brighton Hotel is in a location convenient for tourists, close to Nijo Castle and the Nishijin area, as well as to Kyoto Imperial Palace. The credo of the restaurant there, Hotaru, where one can enjoy flavors that are unique to Kyoto, is the "ichigo ichie" service. "Ichigo ichie" expresses the views of the world of tea ceremony and means to do one's best for the other person. A variety of dishes, mostly kaiseki ryori, are served in this restaurant. The restaurant has an attractive Japanese-style interior from which you can enjoy a Japanese garden framed by a large window!

3. Centnovum Kyoto
At Centnovum Kyoto, three minutes on foot from the Hachijo Higashiguchi entrance of JR Kyoto Station, dishes made using seasonal Kyo vegetables can be enjoyed in a restaurant called Sansui. Sansui offers a wide menu selection including bento boxes and mini-kaiseki that can be enjoyed casually, as well as authentic Kyo-kaiseki. They offer a wide variety of playful dishes made with the master chef's superior technique using traditional vegetables and seasonal ingredients. They also offer sake flights so that customers can savor the sake. The sake flights include a choice of three from six labels from around Japan so you can enjoy the different flavors.

4. Hotel New Hankyu Kyoto
Hotel New Hankyu Kyoto is located three minutes on foot from the Karasuma Chuoguchi exit of JR Kyoto Station. Here, you can enjoy dishes by Minokichi, a long-standing restaurant established in 1716 that has a main restaurant in the Higashiyama area. Authentic Kyo-kaiseki that has been handed down over 300 years can be enjoyed in a serene environment full of the Kyoto atmosphere. The restaurant also offers a casual menu that includes such items as unaju (eel on white rice) and bento boxes (till 3:00 pm). It also has Muslim-friendly lunches and kaiseki, so it is recommended for a wide audience.

5. Kyoto Hotel Okura Bettei Kyoto Cuisine Awata Sanso
Kyoto Hotel Okura has a separate location called Awata-sanso in Higashiyama, where many of Kyoto's key tourist attractions are. Meals at Awata-sanso are provided in a building made in the Sukiya-zukuri architectural style. The color palette created by the rocks, moss, and plants in the 270-tsubo (9,600 square feet) Japanese garden generates a very Japanese atmosphere. The view taken in while enjoying each dish of the traditional Kyo-ryori made with love and care is outstanding! It is a special experience that feels as if the five senses are being sharpened.
