Flowing Somen Noodles in Kyoto’s Backyard, Kibune! A Summer Tradition on a Kawadoko Terrace
Unlike the the noryodoko terraces along the Kamo River, the kawadoko terraces in Kibune are so close to the river you can almost touch the water. They are also much cooler. The flowing somen noodles offered by a ryokan inn famous for its food is a great way to casually enjoy a kawadoko terrace that may seem out of reach and is so popular there are lines even during the week. The best time to go is after 3:00 pm. ＜*The information is from Kansai Walker (issued July 4, 2017)＞
