【Breakfast Set Series】Sumptuous Breakfasts in Kanagawa

In this special Breakfast Set Series, breakfast meals that are highly recommended before you head out on an outing or go to work have been chosen per genre. To start this series, here are the breakfast sets that are perfect for those who prefer Japanese-style cuisine.

Tamago Café Gohan is a coffee shop that is located right next to Seya Station in the Sagami Railway Sotetsu Main Line. Offering a lineup of egg dishes that are good for the body, centering on the tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg), this is the kind of place that women can enter even when they are alone. The standard offering of Tamago Kake Gohan Teishoku (set meal with tamago kake gohan) (500 JPY) comes with miso soup and kobachi (small dish) whose ingredients differ from day to day.

Good morning ZAIMOKUZA

Good morning ZAIMOKUZA is a restaurant that is situated in front of Zaimokuza Beach, about a 20-minute walk from Kamakura Station. While it is operated as a lodging facility, you’d be happy to know that its restaurant is open even to non-staying guests. If you order the Asa Gohan (breakfast) (900 JPY), it will come with katsuo dashi (dried bonito stock) miso soup that is filled with Kamakura vegetables and seaweed. The kobachi also changes every day.

Okayu-stand. is a restaurant that is just about 2 minutes away from Hon-Atsugi Station in the Odakyu Line. Here, you can enjoy a breakfast set of health-friendly okayu (rice porridge) that is paired with salad for just 500 JPY. With the Asagayu Set (breakfast porridge set) (shown in the picture is the Mentai (walleye Pollack roe) Cream set priced at 500 JPY), you can choose from three different kinds of rice porridge that change daily. The Mentai Cream set is famous with women.
