BISTROT La PEKNIKOVA is a small bistro in the quiet neighborhood of Kita-Kamakura. Here, guests get to enjoy French cuisine with simple flavors that strictly use vegetables produced in Kamakura and local seafood from the nearest harbor. There are two lunch sets available at this restaurant: the light Course A (2,500 JPY (incl. tax)) in which guests get to choose between fish and meat courses and the filling Course B (3,800 JPY (incl. tax)) that treats guests to the flavors of both fish and meat dishes. This restaurant was also listed in the 2015 Special Edition Michelin Guide.

The GARDEN HOUSE is a spacious restaurant with cozy terrace seats that is housed in a renovated old atelier that is surrounded by lush greens. The design of this restaurant is inspired by the concept of “handcrafted and community-based.” Here, you can taste the handmade hams from the traditional ham makers of Kamakura, fish in season and vegetables harvested from local farms. For lunch, the Buttermilk Pancake Combo (2,000 JPY (incl. tax)) with sausage and bacon is recommended. Try the set of freshly made Kamakura draft beer and an ala carte dish (3,800 JPY (incl. tax)), with minimum required order of two servings, too!

Kamakurayama Club is a ryotei (traditional high-class Japanese restaurant) that sits quietly in Kamakurayama, an area that used to be a holiday home area. This restaurant has a total of five private rooms and only serves five groups of diners per day. The courses served here are “kaiseki ryori” (traditional course meal) that lavishly use vegetables harvested in Kamakura and fresh seafood from local harbors. There are three types of lunch sets available: Yuki (snow) (5,200 JPY (excl. tax)), Tsuki (moon) (6,800 JPY (excl. tax)) and Hana (flower) (10,000 JPY (excl. tax)). You can even have the dessert in a separate room. If you plan to come, though, note that you have to make a reservation at least a day ahead. This restaurant earned a one-star designation in the 2015 Special Edition Michelin Guide.
