<1>Let’s Visit the Bakery Inside NEWoMan

There are a lot of popular stores inside NEWoMan, a shopping complex that opened in 2016. It is directly connected to the Miraina Tower, Koshu-kaido, and New South Gates, so it’s extremely easy to access.

There is a delicacy called Nyuman (1,350 JPY) that can only be found at the LE PAIN de Joel Robuchon’s NEWoMan store. It uses chocolate, as well as Tonka beans, to give it a great fragrance.

This is a new brand of the popular store, Hamada-ya, that opened in September 2016. They put a lot of thought into their ingredients – for example, by using local wheat and raw sugar packed with minerals – which is why all their breads taste so good and flavorful! Their Soy Bean Bread (170 JPY) is wonderfully salty-sweet and has red beans in it.

<3>Hog All the Fresh Baked Bread at Suminoe to Yourself

The restaurant’s French breads were so popular that they ended up opening an annex store just to sell them! They mainly sell 15 different types of bread made with ingredients straight from France. They only make a little at a time to ensure that the stocked bread is always fresh. All their breads smell really good, such as their Onion Bread (storefront, 140 JPY) and Fig Bread (inner right, 292 JPY).

Feast your eyes on d’une rarete Isetan Shinjuku Store, a bakery that pays special attention to their ingredients! If you’re looking for souvenirs, it’s highly recommended to purchase their fun-to-look-at breads. In particular, you should take a look at their crunchy specialty item, Renko (221 JPY), that has a gentle buttery smell.
