1. Sunshine Aquarium
This is a loved aquarium year round, but during the Christmas season, Sunshine Aquarium has held events annually that have become especially popular. In 2016, there are performances by eared seals and staff decorating trees as well as staff dressed as Santa doing underwater performances. Also, there are trees decorated around the facility, and in the Christmas Aquarium, there are colorful creatures from Australia's Great Barrier Reef! There are plenty of fun things to enjoy.

Tokyo Midtown is a popular area filled with around 130 shops as well as hotels and museums. Its annual Christmas event reached its 10th anniversary in 2016.
The show called Starlight Garden is the main event, and it's a dynamic light and music show representing space. In total, the facility's illumination uses 520,000 lights. You can enjoy a gorgeous, mystical atmosphere. There are plenty of things to see, including a 4m tall tree decorated with around 1,800 small Santa Claus ornaments, free Christmas live music shows featuring classical music, and more.

Tokyo Skytree has completely become the face of Tokyo, and also has an annual event. Tokyo Skytree itself becomes specially lit as a Christmas tree, and there are other events like a magical projection mapping event, an illumination in which trees and ornaments shine along to Christmas songs, and other gorgeous events. They also have various shows planned including live music.

4. Sumida Aquarium
At Sumida Aquarium, a popular spot in Tokyo Skytree Town, there are various events with the theme of “A Christmas to Fall In Love with Jellyfish.” The Tokyo Kurage Tree made of 41 cube-shaped water tanks housing jellyfish stacked in 5 levels to make a Christmas tree of light and water is a must-see. It shines in blue light, and the Aurelia jellyfish inside swim to and fro. The magical sight of the baby jellyfish look like snowflakes. On the 5th floor, at the Penguin Café, you can enjoy the Kurage Cocktail (700 JPY (incl. tax)), a drink made in the image of a magical-looking jellyfish sparkling in the moonlight. This is a spot perfect for people that want a romantic experience.

5. Tokyo Dome City Attractions
This popular theme park is in the center of Tokyo. Since 2016 marks the 150th anniversary of Japanese-Italian relations, this event is a collaboration with Italy. There is a 7m tree made with the motif of a witch that appears in traditional Italian folklore named Befana, a monument replicating the Leaning Tower of Pisa made faithfully by Italian craftsmen, an illumination in the image of the city of canals, Venice, and more.
