Spiral is a complex cultural facility that is located right next to Tokyo Metro’s Omote-sando Station. With nine floors above ground and one basement floor, this building is famous for being representative of Japanese modern architecture in the 1980s, designed by the internationally renowned architect, Fumihiko Maki. Inside, there is a gallery, a multipurpose hall, restaurants/bars, beauty salons, and other establishments.
Located on the second floor is Spiral Market, where you select items based on the concept of “eternal design”. It is a shop that suggests a new lifestyle through household goods that are used in everyday life. There are approximately 60,000 items from a wide range of genres inside this market, including accessories, kitchen utensils, fashion accessories, and stationery.
