PLAY & co, which plans and manages backpacker hostels, will open ＆AND HOSTEL ASAKUSA NORTH, a backpackers hostel for foreign visitors to Japan in northern Asakusa in Tokyo in early April.
First in Japan! An experiential accommodation in the Asakusa area of Tokyo, where you can enjoy an “IoT space” from the near future.
This facility meets the increasing demands of foreign visitors to Japan by offering a maximum of 36 beds at reasonable prices (prices differ by room, but are between 3,000 JPY and 8,500 JPY), as well as a communications lounge (with 21 seats) for the general public. In addition, it offers users a new "IoT experience"* in conjunction with "and factory," which runs the "smart hostel" &AND HOSTEL.
*Smartphones are used to control guestroom keys and appliances (TV, air conditioner, air purifier); to check availability of shower rooms and washing machines and to book shower rooms; to control alarms, including the curtains which can be programmed to open and close in accordance with the sun; a night mode to create better sleeping conditions; and alerts based on the rooms' temperature, etc.)
＆AND HOSTEL ASAKUSA NORTH is a place where you can experience the latest IoT devices that you may think are a thing of the future within a limited period of time at an overnight accommodation.
