Tummies Full of Sweet Bean Paste! Sanokiya's Maguro-yaki

The most recommended item at Sanokiya, which is operated by a mother-and-daughter team, is not taiyaki, but rather, maguro-yaki shaped like tuna. Ogura an (sweet bean paste made from the finest azuki beans from Tokachi, Hokkaido) fills the flaky dough. The hint of saltiness in its sweetness will make you gobble one up before you know it!

The chewy Maguro Monaka has a 100% rice flour crust that’s wrapped around their special sweet bean paste. Both of these cute sweets are shaped like tuna.
