Penguin Bar is an unusual bar where you can find penguins inside! The bar is equipped with a large aquarium where you can observe four energetic penguins playing around. As long as you don't use flash, you can take as many pictures as you want. Every night at around 7:00 pm, you can actually try your hand at feeding them yourself. 4. Dagashibar (Ebisu)

This retro-looking restaurant lies quietly in a backstreet alley. They have a pretty unique system: with a table charge of 500 JPY and a drink order, you can eat all the dagashi* you want. The restaurant offers many other types of food besides dagashi, with a wide array of drinks, including beer, cocktails, and shochu (type of Japanese alcohol). The dagashi on offer here are all well-known and cherished by the Japanese, so give them a try!

4. Dagashibar (Ebisu)

5. INOKI SAKA-BAR (Shinjuku)

Antonio Inoki, a famous Japanese pro wrestler from the ’70s, was a star among the Japanese people and internationally well-known. Inoki is featured throughout this izakaya (Japanese pub) as an iconic symbol. Pro-wrestling videos are always on display here, and the menu offers cocktails inspired by the sport, as well as dishes whipped up with the image of Inoki’s special moves in mind.
