5 Restaurants to Enjoy the Evening Cherry Blossoms near Meguro River

Meguro River is one of the top cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo. Instead of spreading out a tarp under the trees, you can take a walk along the riverside lined with cherry blossom trees, and gaze at the flowers while enjoying a meal at a restaurant or a cafe. Here are some great spots to dine in Nakameguro where you can enjoy the evening cherry blossoms!

1. Hashidaya

This Japanese restaurant specializes in chicken dishes. The recommended seats are on the 2nd floor, where you can get a full view of the sakura (cherry blossoms) from the window. You'll have an amazing experience gazing at the night sakura within a Japanese atmosphere! The cherry blossom trees are lit up, and reservations are required during the Meguro River Sakura Festival, when several events are held in the area. The 2-hour Sakura Festival Limited Time Course (5,000 JPY (incl. tax)) can be reserved for groups of 4 or more people. You can enjoy their famous mizutaki, which uses soup that's made by simmering chicken bones for a long period of time.
