When you're in Tokyo, you're going to want to spend as much time as you can seeing the sights. So this time, we've selected restaurants that are open late where you can drop into after sightseeing. Here are five recommended restaurants in Tokyo.
1. Cocona Shibuya Ekimae Branch
This is an izakaya restaurant just two minutes on foot from Shibuya Station, and is popular for its all private room seating with views. It offers a wide selection of meat dishes as its signature menu, centered around beef, but also including chicken and pork. There is also a variety of healthy vegetable-rich dishes such as the Tofu and Dried Young Sardine Sesame Salad (680 JPY (excl. tax)). They have an English menu and staff who speak English.
Hours: 5:00 pm - 5:00 am (Friday, Saturday and Day before National Holidays only. 5:00 pm - 12:00 am on Monday - Friday, Sunday and National Holidays).
2. Craft Beer Tap Shinjuku San-chome Branch
This is a beer restaurant located a 3-minute walk away from Shinjuku Station. If you include bottled beers, there are more than 100 different types of beers including craft beer from around the world. It is also popular for the more than 20 different types of cask beer directly imported from Germany, Belgium and other countries around the world. Its cask beer tasting set (2,980 JPY (excl. tax)/180 ml x 5) is recommended. There is also a wide selection of food items including meat dishes that go well with beer. There are staff who speak English.

3. MAIMON GINZA
This is a chic restaurant in the sophisticated area of Ginza. The food served here is primarily creative cuisine made in French and Italian styles with fresh seafood, such as oysters, carefully selected and procured from around the country. There is a wide selection of wines with which to enjoy the cuisine. The Oyster Hotplate (1,980 JPY (excl. tax)/six) of three different flavors of oven-baked oysters is recommended.

4. Ginga Kogen Beer Roppongi Branch
Ginga Kogen Beer is made in Iwate Prefecture using traditional German beer-making techniques. This is a restaurant that serves the outstanding Ginga Kogen Beer (750 JPY (incl. tax)/glass for a Weizen) as well as a wide selection of other drinks and food. The food is made with a variety of fresh ingredients including meats, fish and vegetables, and all go perfectly with beer. There are menus in English and Simplified Chinese, as well as staff who speak English and Chinese.
Hours: 5:00 pm - 7:00 am
This is a bar restaurant in a fantastic location just one minute on foot from Tokyo Station. It serves primarily Italian food and wine, and has a casual atmosphere. There is a wide selection of a la carte dishes, from Roast Onuma Beef from Hakodate (680 JPY (excl. tax)), which has been cooked slowly at a low temperature in a special roaster, to pizza, pasta, and salads. There are English-language menus available.
