Hechican is a restaurant where you can enjoy traditional Japanese food and a variety of different types of cuisines. It has a full lineup of menu items made with quality ingredients such as fresh vegetables purchased directly from contracted farms and seafood procured straight from the producers. 2. ORCHESTRA Kichijoji
This is a restaurant where you can enjoy food made with plenty of organic vegetables. At lunchtime, the vegetable-centric one-plate lunch (1,400 JPY (incl. tax)) is recommended. It is a satisfying meal including a salad of organic vegetables that can be selected from three types, including bagna càuda, rice and side dishes to be chosen from a selection of three to five, soup and smoothie. In the evenings, there is a full menu including meat dishes (600 JPY (excl. tax) and up), risotto (1,200 JPY (excl. tax)), and pasta (1,000 JPY (incl. tax) and up). Vegetarian and other special diets can be accommodated upon consultation. There are English-speaking staff.
3. MOTHERS Kichijoji Branch
This is a restaurant that serves authentic Neapolitan pizza fired in a wood-fired oven procured from Naples. There are approximately 16 different types of pizzas, ranging from the standard Margherita (1,400 JPY (incl. tax)), to Bianchetti (1,650 JPY (incl. tax)) with shiso leaves, shirasu whitebait, and spicy green peppers. There are also entree dishes such as grilled red meat and fish plates. At lunchtime, you can enjoy a course that includes pizza, pasta, and an entree (2,980 JPY/weekends and holidays only) or a pizza lunch (1,100 JPY - 1,640 JPY/weekdays only) with which you can order a half-and-half pizza. English menus are available.
This is a cafe where you can enjoy manga comics, art and gourmet food. There are artwork made with manga motifs displayed inside. It serves a variety of different dishes including European-style ones such as hambagu salisbury steak (980 JPY and up) and pasta (980 JPY) as well as gapao rice (900 JPY) and curry rice (930 JPY and up). The YAMANAKA Pudding (530 JPY), a homemade sweet that is crunchy on the outside and melty soft inside, is a must try. The coffee drinks (around 600 JPY), which are served with latte art, and original cocktails (680 JPY) are popular as well.
5. Nijill Kichijoji Branch
This is a bistro where you can enjoy voluminous dishes and a wide selection of drinks, such as wine and beer, at reasonable prices. The simmered dishes that maximize the umami flavors of the ingredients are particularly recommended. There is a wide selection of outstanding items made using French cooking techniques, such as Thickly-Sliced Soft Simmered Boiled Beef Tongue (880 JPY (excl. tax)) and Confit of Zao Kaoridori Chicken Thigh (1,280 JPY (excl. tax)). There are many more to choose from, including cold and warm vegetables (300 JPY (excl. tax) and up) and Fishermen's Style Bistro Rice (1,280 JPY (excl. tax)) filled with sea bream, crab and salmon roe. A wide variety of wines is available too.
