[Tohoku] Enjoy an Interactive Farm Experience in Iwaki!

Located in Iwaki City, Wonder Farm is a place where you can enjoy both food and farming. Thoroughly explore the world of agriculture with a buffet-style restaurant that utilizes local ingredients grown on a spacious plot of land, a produce stand selling specialty products, a tomato farm, and a processing factory.

Harvest Colorful Tomatoes!

A tomato farm is located right next to Wonder Farm, which was launched by former tomato farmer Hiroshi Motoki. First, try your hand at harvesting tomatoes!
The tomatoes here are cultivated hydroponically to encourage efficient growth in a limited space. What this means is that rather than soil, the plants receive their nutrients from a fertilizer solution dissolved in water.
You may be surprised at how different it is from your typical farm!

Afterwards, when you’re feeling a bit peckish from farmwork, head on over to Mori no Kitchen, a buffet-style restaurant that serves dishes made with fresh tomatoes and other vegetables from local farms.

Look for Souvenirs at the Produce Stands

Products that make for great souvenirs line the shelves of Mori no Marche. There are a variety of fresh agricultural products delivered directly from local farms, as well as tomato juice and tomato jam produced at Mori no Agri Kobo, a processing facility located on the premises of Wonder Farm. There’s a cafe within the produce corner where you can eat tomato soft serve ice cream and original sweets made by a pastry chef.
Harvesting crops, a buffet-style restaurant, and souvenirs… there’s no doubt that you’ll have a full day of farming fun in Iwaki!
