If you go to Osaka for sightseeing, there are so many spots that you have to visit, including hot theme parks and new famous spots! Here is a course for the so-called “New Osaka” that will let you tour the new spots that are currently the talk of the town!
<Day 1> Visit the new hotspots in Osaka and enjoy them to the fullest
Head over to the popular spots in Umeda such as Grand Front Osaka and LUCUA Osaka and have a blast shopping and dining. Going to Universal Studios Japan will take around 10 minutes by JR train from Osaka Station. The best strategy is to use all your time from lunch and play and ride all you want. Make sure to rest well at night.
[10:00 am: Shin-Osaka Station]
For those going to Osaka via Shinkansen (bullet train), when you reach Shin-Osaka Station, you have to first go to Umeda via the Subway Midosuji Line. Get off the underground and then head north from the station.
[10:20 am: Grand Front Osaka]
This is a large-scale complex commercial facility that houses about 270 shops. Aside from fashion and interior decors, this area also offers many popular dishes, so there are various ways to enjoy here.
With LUCUA on the east side and LUCUA 1100 on the west side, this is an enormous facility that is directly connected to the station. Together, they form the largest train station-based commercial facility in Japan, offering guests full satisfaction when it comes to shopping and dining!

<Day 2> Enjoy the standard places and new spots!
First, go to Osaka Castle, which is a must-see place for anyone touring Osaka, and marvel at the massive castle there. Once you have enjoyed the view from about 300m above ground at Abeno Harukas, head to EXPOCITY, a commercial facility with Japan’s largest Ferris wheel that opened in November 2015. And when you have savored an experience you can’t have anywhere else, taste the dishes that have been creating so much buzz. After having fun in the new Osaka, then it’s time go back home.
[10:00 am: Osaka Castle]
If the “Sanada Maru,” a long-running historical drama series shown on NHK, is a topic of conversation, then you have to see Osaka Castle that is used as the setting of this series. Around the castle, there are many areas associated with Yukimura Sanada. Try to check them out.
[12:00 pm: Abeno Harukas]
Standing at 300m above ground, Abeno Harukas is a towering skyscraper that boasts of being the tallest building in Japan. The scenery from Harukas 300, where you will be treated to a panoramic view of the townscape of Osaka, is so beautiful that you won’t ever forget it!
Look at the Osaka plains from Harukas300 that is located at the topmost floor of Abeno Harukas.
[3:00 pm: EXPOCITY]
EXPOCITY is a large-scale complex facility that consists of eight entertainment facilities and LaLaport EXPOCITY. Its highlight is Japan’s tallest Ferris wheel!
This is the REDHORSE OSAKA WHEEL that opened in EXPOCITY on July 1st, 2016 (Friday).
[6:00 pm: Shin-Osaka Station]
Go to Senri-Chuo Station from Banpaku-kinen-koen Station via Osaka Monorail. Travel to Shin-Osaka Station through Kita-Osaka Kyuko Railway and Subway Midosuji Line. You will get there in about 25 minutes.
