Top 5 BBQ Spots Near Osaka
There are many barbecue places in the outskirts of Osaka where families can have a great time. Here are five recommended barbecue spots in the area.
1. Barbecue Garden – Orchard Grass
Located in one corner of Maishima Sports Island, a 20-minute drive from the center of Osaka, Orchard Grass is a barbecue spot where everything from preparations up to the disposal of garbage is handled by the staff. Here, the tebura (“empty-handed”) set (2,000 – 3,500 JPY per person (incl. tax)) is what’s popular. They also offer great-value sets that come with an all-you-can-drink service on weekdays! (Bringing in outside food and drinks is not allowed.) On hot, sunny afternoons, they have tent seats (+1,100 JPY per table) available, so you can relax while you eat. After the barbecue, you can move your body by playing at the open space inside the facility or gathering shellfish by the seashore. This barbecue spot is recommended to people who want to hang out and play a lot instead of using their time for preparations and cleanup.

2. Ushitaki Onsen Iyoyaka no Sato
Ushitaki Onsen Iyoyaka no Sato is a barbecue spot surrounded by nature that is about an hour away from Osaka by car. Guests can come here anytime as they do not have to prepare anything at all before they come, be it tools/equipment or ingredients for cooking. If you come as a group of more than 15 adults, you may avail of the plans that come with free pick up and drop off (plans start at 3,500 JPY per person). Another major appeal of this place is that it is fully equipped with lighting fixtures, so it is able to open at night in the summer. Barbecuing after the sun sets brings about a new ambience that is totally different from the atmosphere during the daytime. Now after enjoying your barbecue, how about soaking in the natural hot spring inside the facility to refresh your body? The great-value plan with bath coupons (starts at 3,500 JPY per person for adults) is highly recommended at this place.

For those who want to bring their own ingredients, they can do so by just paying the table rental fee (starts at 2,160 JPY per table for three hours (incl. tax)). Barbec Marche, which is surrounded by nature, has easy access to the city, so you need to make a reservation if you are going there on the weekend.
