MORNING GLASS COFFEE+CAFE, a dynamic cafe started by one of Starbucks's founding members, opened its first store in Japan in Honmachi, Osaka in September 2016.

A limited quantity of the Egg & Toast (1,100 JPY) is available during breakfast hours (opening to 11:00 am). Handmade country loaf bread is stacked with prosciutto and fried egg. Drip Coffee (450 JPY). *the bread in the back is for illustrative purposes only

Each cup of coffee is carefully made by hand with a Clever Coffee Dripper using beans roasted within two weeks.

You can get homemade syrup added for an extra 50 JPY to the Cafe Latte (500 JPY). The Coffee Cake of the day (450 JPY).

Grilled Mozzarella Sandwich (1,200 JPY). Available between 11:00 am and 7:30 pm.

The number of seating in the airy interior is limited to give a sense of spaciousness. Customers place orders at the counter before taking seats.

There are plants and benches outside the shop creating an oasis in the business district.

The manager, Yuki Tsujimoto, comments: In addition to recreating as much of the menu from the main store as possible, we want to introduce the American custom of having a substantial breakfast at cafes. We'll be organizing events every month, so look forward to it!
