5 Hotels to Enjoy a Value Lunch in the Umeda Area
You may not have many opportunities to have lunch at a hotel while you are out sightseeing but, actually, there are many hotels that offer value lunches out there. Here you will find a selection of value hotel lunches that you can enjoy in the Umeda area.
"The Hotel Granvia Osaka is connected directly to JR Osaka station, and it is also very close to Umeda Station on the Midosuji subway line, which makes it very easily accessible! In addition, the hotel houses a wide array of restaurants offering from Japanese cuisine to Spanish food, so it is a very convenient place to have lunch while you are out sightseeing. For lunch, we especially recommend Beijing, a Chinese restaurant offering a Yum Cha Order Buffet featuring a total of 40 authentic Chinese dishes of which you can eat as much as you want (available only on weekdays on a 2-hour system for 3,300 JPY (incl. tax) / 2,980 JPY (incl. tax) on Mondays and Fridays only). The restaurant is very popular because the menu features not only piping hot yum cha snacks, but also luxury dishes such as shark fin soup and Beijing duck (1 serving per person). Besides this, the hotel also features Abu, a luxurious sky dining restaurant offering an European style menu that includes a plentiful salad bar, main dishes that the chef prepares right in front of the guests, and desserts made in the hotel in a reasonably priced lunch buffet (2,480 JPY on weekdays / 2,980 JPY on weekends and public holidays (incl. tax)). "The InterContinental Hotel Osaka houses many high quality restaurants, including patisseries and French restaurants. It is located about a 5 minute walk from JR Osaka station and Umeda station on the Hanshin, Hankyu, and subway Midosuji lines. All the restaurants in the hotel offer delicious cuisine using special ingredients that bring out the skills of the chefs. One of these is Pierre, which specializes in a type of cuisine that uses Japanese ingredients in a French style. Another popular restaurant is the NOKA Roast & Grill, which specializes in roasted and grilled dishes, and whose lunch menu (available on weekdays and public holidays only for 5,000 JPY (incl. tax)) is famous for offering a menu that has a higher value than its actual price. Guests can select their main dish between grilled Wagyu beef, roasted Hiyoshi pork from Kyoto, or roasted seasonal fresh fish. In addition, appetizers consisting of salads made with carefully selected ingredients, ham, and rillettes are available buffet style, along with desserts. The performance-like atmosphere of the open kitchen helps stimulate the appetite. The general opinion is that this restaurant is ""always exquisite"", and we recommend visiting at least once. *The picture shows a main dish from NOKA Roast & Grill"
"The Hotel Hankyu International is located within a 3 minute walk from Hankyu Umeda station, and it offers a quiet atmosphere that may remind one of a European villa. It is home to a variety of Japanese restaurants, including sushi, teppanyaki, and Kyoto-style restaurants, and it also houses restaurants from other genres such as French cuisine. For lunch, we definitely recommend the Japanese restaurant Kyokaiseki Mino Takeshigero, located on the 25th floor. Their lunch menu includes dishes with a high seasonal feeling to them, and here you can enjoy traditional dishes from Kyoto that have been around since the Edo period at a reasonable price, such as their Kyo Ozen that comes with dessert and Japanese tea (4,800 JPY (excl. tax)), which offers a delicate look and tastes, and their specialty Eel tray (4,800 JPY (excl. tax)). If the weather is good, you may be able to enjoy a panoramic view of Mt. Rokko. If you are looking to enjoy different types of food, we also recommend the Buffet & Cafe Restaurant Night & Day on the 1st floor, whose buffet features the kind of dishes that you may find in a course meal! *The picture is an example of a lunch from Kyokaiseki Mino Takeshigero"
"Located a 10 minute walk from JR Osaka Station and Umeda Station on the Hanshin, Hankyu, and Midosuji lines, the Dojima Hotel is not especially close to the station, but it is still popular among tourists for its strong and stylish presence. It houses three restaurants: an elegant Japanese restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, and a European style restaurant. If you are going for lunch, we especially recommend THE DINER because you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes that range from casual snacks to authentic French cuisine in a luxurious environment. Their lunch menu includes dishes such as their specialty Dojima Omurice (seasoned rice wrapped in an omelette) lunch (1,200 JPY (incl. tax)) and a weekly lunch set (1,600 JPY (incl. tax)). All lunch options come with a bread buffet featuring 7 types of bread, including focaccia and walnut bread, which makes them a great deal! Hanadori, the Japanese restaurant, also has a reasonably priced Bishoku Yuzen (3,920 JPY (incl. tax)) lunch in which you can enjoy authentic kaiseki ryori dishes. How about using your lunch time to relax as you enjoy a view of the Japanese-style garden? *The picture shows the Dojima Omurice lunch from THE DINER"

"The ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel Osaka is located at a 10 to 15 minute walk from JR Osaka Station and Umeda Station on the Hankyu, Hanshin, and Midosuji lines. It is near the Dojima River in a very elegant location. It houses plenty of restaurants, so you can choose which one to eat at depending on your mood on that day. We especially recommend the lunch buffet at Cafe in the Park (2,650 JPY excl. tax on weekdays / 3,650 JPY excl. tax for 100 minutes on weekends and public holidays). The theme of the buffet changes monthly, and it always includes freshly baked bread and pizza, along with an array of desserts made by the patissiers of the hotel. Among these, the pancakes, which are made to order in front of the guests, enjoy a reputation for being especially fluffy and delicious! If you prefer to indulge in authentic Japanese cuisine, then head to Kyoto cuisine Tankuma. If you are having lunch here, we recommend trying the Tempura tray (2,600 JPY excl. tax), which features freshly fried tempura, and the Ajireki (3,900 JPY excl. tax) which is an elaborate mini kaiseki course. *The picture shows sample dishes from the lunch buffet at Cafe in the Park"
