1. Higashimachiya

Located just a 3-minute walk away from Asahibashi Station, on the west side of Naha, Higashimachiya is a restaurant where you can enjoy local Okinawan dishes at reasonable prices. There are three types of all-you-can-eat and drink courses here. The number of dishes included and the time limit varies, so you have to consider how hungry you are when choosing what course to order. All of them offer several local dishes that represent Okinawa, and depending on the course, may include alcoholic drinks like Okinawan sake and Orion draft beer.

PIRATES is a restaurant along Kokusai-dori Street – one of the busiest commercial areas in Okinawa – where you can enjoy grilled dishes like steaks and burgers. Recommended here is the Tabe-Nomihodai Course Jikan Museigen (all-you-can-eat and drink course with no time limit). It comes with 35 dishes, including steaks, classic Okinawan dishes, and various creative dishes. You can enjoy 80 kinds of drinks with the course, too, such as Okinawa’s specialty, Awamori liquor, and Orion beer.

3. Asatoya

Asatoya is a restaurant where you can enjoy unlimited shabu-shabu of Agu pork, which is an Okinawan brand of pork with plenty of umami and sweetness. You can choose from three kinds of meat for the all-you-can-eat course: Agu Pork Shabu-shabu Loin and Rib, Agu Pork Arm and Thigh, and Okinawa-bred Pork Loin and Rib. You can add Okinawa Ryori no Tabehodai (all-you-can-eat Okinawan dishes) and Eraberu Nomihodai (your selection of unlimited drinks). You’d also be happy to know that the all-you-can-eat course is free for children younger than elementary school age.

4. Rakuya Oroku Honten

Rakuya is an izakaya (Japanese bar) that is just a 5-minute walk from Akamine Station, which is just a station away from Naha Airport on the monorail. Its signature menu is the all-you-can-drink and eat course, which includes a total of 50 dishes, ranging from their special motsunabe (hot pot with offal and vegetables) to sashimi, yakitori (chicken skewers), and pizza. There are also a variety of drinks included, such as highballs with strong carbonic acid (diluted in whisky soda), Awamori, and fruit wines. Note that the time limit and number of people that can be accommodated vary depending on the course.

5. Chibikatsusyouten sancyoume

Located near Kokusai-dori Street, Chibi Katsu is a restaurant where you can enjoy Osaka’s specialty, the kushikatsu (fried vegetables and meat skewers). It is famous for its all-you-can-eat course that has 40 types of freshly fried kushikatsu – meat, seafood, vegetables, and even dessert kushikatsu! You can have as much as you want from all the dishes in their food menu, as well as salads. Drinks are also unlimited and include wine, shochu (Japanese white distilled liquor), and cocktails. The price and time limit vary depending on the course. Make sure to eat a lot of crispy kushikatsu with an original sauce that was prepared specially by the restaurant!
