The recommended flavors are the 5 flavors that use Okinawan products, like the sweet-and-sour Shikuwasa Sherbet, which uses 100% fruit juice from Okinawan shikuwasa citrus, or the Shio Chinsukou made with Okinawan vanilla and cookies. Orion Beer holds an overwhelming part of the beer market in Okinawa. The factory is in Nago, so it's sometimes called "the water of Nago," and it's a refreshing beer suitable for the southern islands. You can easily drink it throughout Okinawa, but since you're already there, why not take a trip to the factory (reservations preferred) and stop by the Orion Beer-en Yanbaru no Mori, an area connected to the factory? Since it's inside the factory, you can drink delicious, freshly made beer. You can also enjoy cuisine made with local Okinawa ingredients, and there's also a buffet on the weekends (Fridays - Sundays and holidays, 11:30 am - 2:00 pm) that people of all ages can enjoy.
This is a reasonably priced gyudon (beef bowl) chain restaurant, but within Okinawa only can you also have the local specialty, taco rice. Taco rice is everything normally used in a Mexican taco, eaten over rice. There are many famous restaurants within Okinawa, but Yoshinoya's is just as delicious.
