Experience the Story of the Migration and Evolution of the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops!

Powerful dinosaurs emerge in Nagoya Science Museum!?

"The Mass Migration of Dinosaurs - The Origins and Evolution of Tyrannosaurus and Ceratopsians" will be held at Nagoya City Science Museum from Saturday, March 18, 2017 to Sunday, May 28, 2017. Tyrannosaurus and triceratops are especially popular among the many different types of dinosaurs. It is said that these two star dinosaurs active in North America and Asia during the latter part of the Cretaceous Period trace their ancestry back to Jurassic Period Asia. This exhibit traces the footsteps of the massive Tyrannosaurus rex and triceratops migration in Asia and North America over a period spanning approximately 100 million years, together with fossil specimens from various regions.

This is the first time for a Tyrannosaurus ancestor, the Bistahieversor, to be exhibited in Japan. A nearly lifesize robot will be displayed together with a specimen of the skull, giving the visitor the opportunity to feel its power up close.
