1. Kyoto Knot Vacation House
This is a guesthouse in an area convenient to get to commercial districts. Accommodations have a small kitchen (with a microwave, toaster, and refrigerator) and bathroom (with a shower and hot tub), as well as fixtures and equipment such as a sofa, iron and flat screen TV. Board games and strollers are available to rent, so it is recommended for travelers with small children. Free Wi-Fi can be accessed throughout the building. There are English-speaking staff.

2. Rinn Kujokamogawa
This is a guesthouse in Kujo Kawaramachi, an area with the retro feel of an old working class neighborhood. It is in a traditional Japanese machiya-style house that has been renovated, and the interior is decorated with furniture that have a warm feel so guests can relax. Accommodations come with a dining area, kitchen, bathroom (with slippers and free bath amenities), and flat screen TV. There is free Wi-Fi (in parts of the building).

To accommodate two: 4,000 JPY (incl. tax) per person and up, etc.
3. Hananobou Kinkakuji-michi
This is an inn in a great location, just five minutes on foot from the famous temple, Kinkakuji. It is a clean, smoke free inn with spacious accommodations that are 70 square meters each and have dedicated baths and toilets with bidets. You can also borrow pajamas, shampoo and rinse for free. There is free Wi-Fi access throughout the building.

4. Hanatsuduri
This is a guesthouse in central Kyoto, where you can stay in a traditional machiya-style house. There are two rooms on the first floor and two on the second floor, so there is plenty of room to stay with family and friends. It is a clean environment that is completely smoke free. It comes with a kitchen (with refrigerator, microwave, tableware, cooking utensils, seasoning, etc.), washing machine and bathroom (with amenities). There is free Wi-Fi throughout the building. There are English-speaking staff.

To accommodate seven: 7,000 JPY per person and up, etc.
5. Tasakiya
This is an inn in a convenient location to get to popular tourist spots such as Nijo Castle and Kyoto International Manga Museum. It is in a traditional machiya-style house that has been renovated, and accommodations include a kitchen (with microwave, refrigerator, and stove top), bathroom (with bath tub and bidet), towels, and bed linens. Free Wi-Fi can be accessed throughout the building. There are staff who speak English and Chinese.
Accommodation rates: 20,000 JPY (incl. tax) per person and up, etc.
