All Amaou Strawberries! Kyoto Century Hotel’s Strawbery Buffet Best 5

The restaurant, La Jyho, at Kyoto Century Hotel is holding its third annual strawberry fair from January 27 to April 30, and this year, the theme is to "feel like a princess"!
Approximately 100 different items, including food and sweets and 50 ice cream flavors, are presented in a fairytale-like space. And each of the strawberry sweets, of which there are about 25 options, are made with amaou strawberries.
The menu items were assessed by both the sweets writer with a sweet tooth, and an editor who prefers savory foods. Ten to 15 items were carefully selected from among the menu to be sampled and evaluated on taste, strawberry content, visual splendor, and unique texture, resulting in a ranking.
＜Best 1＞ Frasier with whole strawberries and fresh cream sandwiched in a pistachio cake
The cake is dense and rich. The tartness of the strawberries and the sweetness of the cream go well together, and the berry sauce on top adds to the tartness, giving it an elegant taste!
＜Best 2＞Tarte aux Fraises with a rich almond cream in the crust
Tons of amaou strawberries on top of a generous layer of custard! A great balance between sweet and tart.
＜Best 3＞ White Strawberry Shortcake with understated sweetness and fresh cream that melts in the mouth
One could keep eating this white strawberry shortcake with its light, fresh sponge cake.
＜Best 4＞ Bon Bon Chocolat Fraise with light ganache wrapped in deep red chocolate
