New Chitose Airport is a place where gourmet cuisine from around Hokkaido is gathered, and a particular favorite is soft serve ice cream. There are more than 20 types of soft serve ice cream available at New Chitose Airport. This time, we introduce soft serve ice cream by famous dessert shops known for popular souvenir sweets.

Royce New Chitose Airport Branch's Royce Soft Serve Chocolate Ice Cream


The first entry is from the chocolate maker, Royce, famous for their ganache chocolates. If you're having their soft serve ice cream, the chocolate flavor is, of course, recommended. They use chocolate blended specifically for the soft serve ice cream, so you can let your expectations run high! This ice cream has a rich chocolate aroma that gently fills your mouth and a luxurious taste appropriate for the moniker of "the queen of chocolate soft serve ice cream," and a refreshing aftertaste. Royce Soft Serve Chocolate Ice Cream is 300 JPY and is also available in milk and mixed flavors. It is not available at all times, so be sure to check at the store.


Soft serve ice cream is not available in Royce Chocolate World, and can only be found in this shop on the second floor of the domestic terminal.

LeTAO New Chitose Airport Branch's Marriage

LeTAO, which became a huge hit with its Double Fromage cheesecake that combines baked and no-bake cheesecakes, offers a soft serve ice cream with cheese! The Jersey Milk flavor, which is made with the rich milk of Jersey cattle, has a hint of mascarpone cheese. The Cinque Fromage is a blend of five cheeses including two types of cream cheese, Gouda, cheddar, and camembert. And the most popular flavor is Marriage, which is a mix of the two! The ice cream cones are caramel-flavored cones that were carefully selected by the pastry chefs.


The soft serve ice cream corner is to the right of the entrance (9:00 to 19:30 (last order)). The limited offer Mascarpone Brûlée is also available.

BLUE SKY Departure Lobby Branch's Shiroi Koibito Soft Serve Ice Cream


Ishiya's Shiroi Koibito cookies are a an iconic Hokkaido sweet, and there is a soft serve ice cream version of it! It is no other than the Shiroi Koibito Soft Serve Ice Cream. It combines fresh milk from Hokkaido and the white chocolate used in Shiroi Koibito. It has a surprisingly fresh flavor and melts lightly in the mouth. You can have it in either a light and crunchy waffle cone or a cup with the Shiroi Koibito design on it.


A souvenir shop that sells specialty sweets from Hokkaido, as well as seafood, milk products, and local goods. Shiroi Koibito Soft Serve Ice Cream is available here, as well as at the BLUE SKY Center Gate Shop and BLUE SKY GL-18.

Kinotoya's Finest Milk Soft Serve


Approximately 350 on weekdays and 450 at the weekend. These are the quantity of Finest Milk Soft Serve sold each day at New Chitose Airport's Kinotoya. Most soft serve ice creams have three and a half to four and a half spirals, but Kinotoya's has six and a half! It is so big you'll feel the weight when you receive it, and it is clearly the richest even among Hokkaido soft serve ice creams, which tend to be rich. There are many repeat customers who come back for the taste that is filled with the flavors of fresh milk.


Order and pick up the soft serve ice cream at the registrar. You can buy it at the same time as the popular Freshly Baked Cheese Tart.

Kitakaro's Chef's Special Soft Serve Ice Cream

Kitakaro is famous for its Hokkaido Kaitaku Okaki (Hokkaido Frontier Rice Crackers). The soft serve ice cream here is an outstanding item directed by a chef who trained under the legendary pâtissier, André Lecomte, who opened Japan's first French pâtisserie. It is called the Chef's Special Soft Serve Ice Cream. It is made with fresh cream and milk from Hokkaido, and has so much natural vanilla beans in it that you can see the flecks. It has a sophisticated and sweet aroma that is out of this world and melts delicately in the mouth like Hokkaido snow.


There is an area in the shop where you can eat the items you have bought. Take a break while enjoying soft serve ice cream or cream puffs.

Hanabatake Bokujo's Hot Caramel Soft Serve Ice Cream

Hanabatake Bokujo ignited a fresh caramel boom in Hokkaido and across the country. Its Hot Caramel Soft Serve Ice Cream is that fantastic fresh caramel made into a warm cream and poured over cold soft serve ice cream. The rich vanilla soft serve ice cream and caramel melt together to create a happy, sweet flavor you can thoroughly enjoy. You can also enjoy it in variation by eating just the ice cream, then the ice cream with a bit of sauce, and then with a lot of sauce.


The shop also has a wide selection of items appropriate for gifts such as fresh caramel that can be taken at room temperature and Shimikomi Rask Fresh Caramel.
