Enjoy your privacy! 5 Inns in Hiroshima with Guestrooms with Open-Air Baths

Hiroshima, a place that is surrounded by the sea and mountains, is home to many hotels and inns where guests get to soak in open-air baths filled with hot spring water while marveling at the sight of lush nature. Here are five hotels in the region that have guestrooms with open-air baths that will let guests bathe in their own private space.

1. Sekitei

The first spot on this list is Sekitei in the Miyahama Onsen host spring resort area. It is a hotel that is located on the opposite shore of Miyajima, a World Heritage Site.
The biggest appeal of this hotel is its Japanese garden where guests get to see the beauty of Japan from season to season. This garden is surrounded by the main building that has an excellent view and hideaway-like arbors that resemble a sukiya (tea ceremony arbor), housing guestrooms with different designs. Majority of the rooms here are traditional Japanese-style rooms, with each room boasting of a panoramic view of the garden or the sea! Some rooms are also annexed to their own open-air baths that will let guests relax in luxury, soaking in a hot bath while gazing at the refreshing morning sky or the night full of stars. You can also enjoy hot springs, the pride of this hotel, at the large public bath.

This hotel offers a wide range of guestrooms from Standard to Premium, with all rooms offering a view of the ocean. In the special guestroom floor, there are three rooms that have their own open-air baths. With the smart and stylish amenities and facilities that vary from room to room, this hotel gives guests a higher level of comfort in their stay. Hotel Ofutei will also launch special rooms with view baths, where guests will be able to see exceptional scenery, in March 2017. The rooms here all adopt Japanese-modern interiors that are inspired by the concept of “Setouchi Japanese-modern” design. On the rooftop, there is an open-air bath with superb view of the sea and sky, treating guests to that feeling of being one with nature while relaxing in a hot spring bath.

The dishes that are carefully prepared by its chefs, one by one, are masterpieces that maximize the good flavors of their ingredients. Here, you can get a taste of the kaiseki ryori of the season with dishes that are lavishly arranged in carefully selected beautiful china.

There are only four standalone guestrooms here, all of which have their own open-air bath where guests can unwind in the hot spring bath. Every room here is a Japanese-style space with tatami flooring, but they also have couches and chairs, so even guests who are not used to tatami will be surely be comfortable.
