1. Sekitei

This is an inn on the opposite shore of the world heritage site, Miyajima. It has a beautiful garden on its vast 1.2 acre, with the main building and guest houses scattered about. Each guest room has a completely different design so you can select one that suites your taste! The onsen hot springs consist of an open-air onsen made of rock, and a wooden indoor onsen. It is a place you can enjoy a quality onsen spring and steep yourself in an authentic Japanese atmosphere. There are also hideaways available throughout the garden for the guests to relax in. They are spots you can use as you please, as your dining room, private bath, or library, at any time of the day such as evening, early morning or late at night.

2. Migiwatei Ochi Kochi

The next inn we introduce is Migiwatei Ochi Kochi in Tomonoura, a town located around the middle of the Seto Inland Sea. Its precursor was also an inn that opened more than 150 years ago. When guests arrive, they are welcomed by the graceful front door in a renovated historic building. Inside, the ryokan is modern with an atmosphere full of the Japanese "wa" style, and is a perfect place to spend a relaxing, quality time. Each guest room has an ocean view, and either an onsen hot spring or an open-air onsen hot spring. What a treat to be able to enjoy the onsen as much as you want in the privacy of your own room!

3. Tomo Seaside Hotel

This is also a hotel in Tomonoura. It is Tomo Seaside Hotel , with a wonderful panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea. Within the facilities onsite, the "Tenku Open-Air Bath" is a particular recommendation. It is the perfect location to enjoy an onsen hot spring while monopolizing an expansive view created by the sky and sea. The onsen can be enjoyed in the large shared bath. It will warm you to the core, and soften your skin. The meals are served as a natural food buffet consisting primarily of vegetables. You can enjoy 60 to 70 types of healthy dishes with seasonal ingredients.

4. Hotel Seifukan

This is Hotel Seifukan on Osakikamijima Island in the Seto Inland Sea. The hotel is accessible by boat only. Guests board the boat at Takehara Port , and arrive after a 30-minute journey on a gentle sea. A fantastic scenery created by the sea and numerous islands can be seen from the open-air baths full of water from the onsen hot spring, giving one the feeling of being enveloped by nature! Relax and enjoy the hot water while listening to the sound of the waves. In the evening, you will enjoy the advantage of being on an island with a dinner with an abundance of freshly-caught seafood. This is a great place to get your fill of tasty and nutritious food.

5. Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima

Finally, we introduce Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima , located about 30 minutes on a free shuttle bus from JR Hiroshima Station. It offers quality service and a spacious environment in pursuit of the perfect city-style hotel. It is located on Ujina-shima, which protrudes into the Seto Inland Sea, so the views are spectacular. The sea is right in front, and a park designated as part of the Setonaikai National Park system is right nextdoor. In the hotel guests-only panoramic open-air onsen bath, "Seto-no-yu" (fee charged), you can steep in an onsen hot spring while enjoying the gradually changing visage of the Seto Inland Sea.
