A Standard Yet New! Five Select Constantly Evolving Fukuoka Strawberry Kakigori Shaved Ice
Strawberry is such a standard flavor for kakigori shaved ice that some people equate it with kakigori. However, recently, strawberry-flavored kakigori have evolved with unusual styles and tastes. We introduce five strawberry-flavored kakigori that are standards and are yet somehow new.
Kamadoya's Ichigo Gori Strawberry Shaved Ice
Because this is a natural foods store, the ingredients are the key to its kakigori shaved ice. This is the only store in Fukuoka that sells the Ichigo Gori strawberry shaved ice by a strawberry farm in Otsuki, Kochi, with which it has a relationship. On a good day, more than 100 bowls are sold.

The Amaou at Shuchantachino
This is right near the Onga River Pumping Station, a World Heritage Site. It serves a milky homemade kakigori shaved ice with a syrup with pieces of fruit in it. The recommended topping is the crispy popcorn.

Ito-King's Amagori
You can enjoy sweets made with Amaou strawberries from Itoshima here. During the summer, the Hakata Amabi Set (1,100 JPY) with Amaou warabi mochi and the Amagori kakigori shaved ice with a light texture are popular. Both are highly rated for the soft natural flavors of strawberries. There is also a shop for souvenirs, so there are many tourists.

The Strawberry Kakigori at Piaf
This is a Western-style confectionery store that opened in 1984. It has a selection of traditional French cakes such as Savarin (410 JPY). Kakigori shaved ice is sold between mid July and mid October. Flavors include the Ichigo made with Amaou strawberries and the Matcha with Yame matcha green tea sauce, ice cream and Dainagon azuki.

The Milk Strawberry at Yukinosho
Their pride is the Fuwaricchi, a shaved ice of a surprisingly fluffy texture with ice shaved thin like thread. They offer ten flavors, including the milk-based Chocolate Banana and strawberry-based Strawberry Roll. Toppings (+100 JPY), such as of shiratama mochi balls, are also available.
