You can have a uniquely Fukuoka tempura of Kanato Fugu (250 JPY (incl. tax)), a type of blowfish from the Genkai Sea (a body of water to the northwest of Fukuoka and Saga Prefectures). *Kanato Fugu is in season from fall to winter.

Kajiten is a tempura restaurant in a convenient location directly connected to JR Hakata Station. The restaurant is in a busy place with many passers by, but inside is a quiet, comfortable space. The counter seats are recommended as you can see the piping hot tempura being fried in the large pot there.
The ingredients are seasonal seafood and fresh vegetables that have been carefully selected by the owner. In addition to the tempura, they offer a wide selection of a la carte items, such as fresh sashimi of seafood from the Genkai Sea.
